My Domicile, My House - where I live. If you see where I live, you might understand why I am the way I am.

in this
view from the East, with the new porch going up, the trees just add
to the symetry.
The picture below is what it
used to look like, just after construction on the home was completed This view is from the

It is a cul-de-sac, and I live in the middle plot on the east side. The lot is 2.5 acres allowing for plenty of room for Koi ponds, fruit trees a greenhouse and a garden. There is a 180 ft driveway to the garage.

soon. (Right) The wind break and privacy wall between the house and the

A 14000 gallon Koi pond with a 5 foot waterfall is planned - surrounded by plants, all as yet to be constructed. Due to budget shortfalls the pond may have to wait for a year. or two. It would probably become a dog swimming hole anyhow. Trees and landscaping have begun. Fast growth trees usually require a lot of water.
Early August '04,
I originally contracted with Victor Valley
Fabrication to build a steel wrap-around patio cover, but they
flaked out and never started the job. I should have
insisted on a contract. In the various new pictures here you can see that
we are installing our own aluminum wrap-around patio cover, it is late
October 06. In the picture to the left, August 04, the house and
detached garage have just been completed, in fact the next day, the
County gave its FINAL inspection approval. After months of waiting - 5
extra months - we get to move in. Look below and you get a
clue that I have planted about 35-40 different
trees, a drought-tolerant ground cover will grow some day, but
for now, what came naturally is sufficient.
